The call for nominations to the ACIS Board of Directors is now open. There are two directors positions open for members to get involved at a very exciting time for the society.
Nominations to the Board of Directors
Members are invited to nominate candidates as Directors of the Board of ACIS. As defined in the Constitution, the term of a Director is three years. We are looking to elect two new Directors at the 2025 AGM to be held during the 35th Australian Colloid and Surface Science Student Conference from 28th-31st January 2025.
Nomination and voting procedures
- The Director nomination form is available from the ACIS website and is to be completed by the candidate, a nominating member and a seconding member (electronic signatures are acceptable). Nominees need to include a statement of up to 100 words about themselves and their vision for ACIS that will be released to the community in the event of electronic voting, plus a one-page CV containing their current appointment, employment history, and relevant evidence of impact (please note - without this information in addition to the completed form, the nomination is ineligible). The director nomination form, together with the statement and one–page CV, need to be emailed to the Secretary at acis.enquiries@gmail.com by 23:59 (ACWST, Eucla time) on 16th January 2025. If more than two nominations are received, electronic voting will be conducted in the lead up to the AGM.
